About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and creative UX/UI Engineer Intern to join our
growing team. You will play a key role in the ideation, design and development of UX/UI designs for our innovative healthcare product (KRI Healthx). You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced designers, engineers, and product managers to create a user-friendly and impactful experience for our target users.
While this is an UNPAID internship, the intern will gain valuable experience
working in the startup company, have an opportunity to work alongside and learn from experienced professionals in product development. They will be able to learn and apply the latest UX/UI trends and best practices in a real-world setting.
Further, it would help the intern to contribute to a meaningful cause, while
building a strong portfolio of work on a healthcare product that will impress future employers.
Requirements
Position Responsibilities
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to understand user needs
and translate them into actionable design solutions.
• Develop user experience/interfaces (UX/UIs) that are visually appealing,
intuitive, and accessible.
• Create interactive prototypes and conduct user testing to gather feedback
and iterate on designs.
• Assist with front-end development tasks using frameworks like React or
Angular (familiarity with a preferred framework is a plus).
• Stay up-to-date on the latest UX/UI trends and best practices in UI designs.
• Document design decisions and maintain a clear design system.
Participate in a culture of continuous learning and development
• Partner with the Data and Intelligence on establishing strong working
relationships with key clients and stakeholders in Healthcare, and
Operations to understand their requirements and provide impactful designs
Position Requirements
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in design, computer
science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and user-centered design
methodologies.
• Experience with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Basic understanding of front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS, JS).
• A passion for healthcare and a desire to make a positive impact.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with prototyping tools like InVision or Adobe XD.
• Familiarity with accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
• Understanding startup/healthcare IT systems (EHRs, etc.) is a plus.
• Expertise in SQL, ETL, and proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI,
Tableau, Quicksight, etc.) is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
